Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed “Sneha Dham” in Indore and said the project is not just about social security but also ensures a safe and dignified living space for the elderly. He said this sensitive initiative reflects the spirit of respect and responsibility toward senior citizens, and added that caring for the elderly is an integral part of Indian culture and tradition.

The “Sneha Dham” Senior Citizens’ Complex, built at a cost of Rs. 18 crore by the Indore Development Authority, is a first-of-its-kind project in Madhya Pradesh. The facility provides holistic support including accommodation, food, medical care, recreation, meditation, and counseling, all within a secure campus designed for senior citizens to live with dignity and comfort. Robust security arrangements have also been ensured. On the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of development projects worth over Rs. 565 crore in Indore—including the inauguration of projects worth Rs. 90 crore and the groundbreaking for works exceeding Rs. 476 crore.

The program was attended by Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, MLAs Shri Madhu Verma, Shri Manoj Patel, Shri Golu Shukla, SC Finance Development Corporation Chairman Shri Sawan Sonkar, IDA Chairman and Divisional Commissioner Shri Deepak Singh, among others.

CM Dr. Yadav noted that changing social circumstances have left many elderly couples living alone, with children either abroad or in other cities due to work. In such times, projects like Sneha Dham offer a safe, self-respecting, and well-equipped living environment for the elderly. He praised Indore for leading not only in cleanliness but also in social innovation and public welfare.
