Mumbai, Jan 5 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Friday gained further by 178.58 pts to close at 72,026.15 as buying was seen in IT, Capital Goods, Tecnology and Industrials stocks. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 52.20 pts at 21,710.80. The NSE was days high and low at 21,749.60 and 21,629.20 pts respectively. The Sensex opened at 72,016.71, rising 169 pts. During the day, it was spurted 309 pts at 72,156, days high, before closing at 72,026.15, up 178.15 pts from its previous close. The stocks that increased were IT, Capital Goods, Technology and Industrials. IT was surged by 1.29 pc, Capital Goods by 1.27 pc, Technology by 1.03 pc and Industrials by 0.97 pc. The Mid Cap rose by 0.19 pc and Small Cap by 0.61 pc. In 30 scrips, 19 advanced while 11 down. The gainers were TCS by 1.93 pc to Rs 3537.75, L& T by 1.62 pc to Rs 3515.05, Infosys by 1.37 pc to Rs 1532.90 and Axis Bank by 1.16 pc to Rs 1137.10. The losers were Nestle India Ltd by 1.65 pc to Rs 2666.90, JSW Steel by 1.06 pc to Rs 828, Kotak Bank by 0.83 pc to Rs 1847.90 and Sun Pharma by 0.78 pc to Rs 1302.40...////...
