Mumbai, June 27 (Reporter) Extending the winning streak for the fourth straight , BSE Sensex rose by 303.03 points to end firm at 84,058.98, buoyed by positive global cues and continued optimism around steady foreign inflows, trader said. Easing crude oil prices are also supporting market sentiment, traders added. National Stock Exchange (NSE) too advanced by 88.80 points to settle at 25,637.80 The Sensex opened higher at 83,774.45 against its previous close of 83,755.87 and rose further to registered intra-day high of 84,089.35 , Sensex registered intraday low of 83,645.31 The Nifty registered days high at 25,654.20 and low at 25,523.55 BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.38 pc and BSE Small-Cap index advanced 0.54 pc The market breadth was strong . On the BSE, 2,261 shares rose and 1,751 shares fell. A total of 153 shares were unchanged. Among Sectoral indices barring BSE IT, Realty and Teck which were down 0.24 pc ,1.57 and 0.02 pc respectively, all others ended the session in green with BSE Oil& Gas being the top gainer up by 1.21 pc. Other Sectoral gainer were Commodities by 1.11 pc, Energy by 1.10 pc, FMCG by 0.14 pc , Financial by 0.35 pc, Health care by 0.69 pc, Industrial by 0.54 pc , Telecom by 0.90 pc, Utilities by 0.99 pc, Auto by 0.30 pc, Bankex by 0.39 pc ,Capital goods by 0.83 pc, Consumer Durables by 0.40 pc . Metal by 0.37 pc and Power by 1.14 pc, In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 13 declined. Top Gainer five gainer were Asian paints by 3.09 pc to 2,360.00, Ultratech by 2.43 to Rs 12,234.95, Power grid by 2.11 pc to Rs 299.60, ICICI Bank by 1.56 pc to Rs 1,461.75 and Reliance by 1.39 pc to Rs 1,516.05 Top five Loser were Trent by 1.42 pc to Rs 6,018.20, Eternal by 1.13 pc to Rs 262.15, Axis Bank by 0.74 pc to Rs 1,225.20, Titan by 0.66 pc to Rs 3,670.00 and Tech Mahindra by 0.64 pc to Rs 1,680.15. Asian shares ended mixed Nikkei 225 rose by 1.41 pc, Straits Times advanced by 0.78 pc, Hangseng fell by 0.17 pc and Kospi declined by 0.71 pc European stocks edged higher, FTSE by 0.44 pc, CAC by 1.19 pc and DAX by 0.68 In the US market, the S&P 500 rose by 0.80 pc.
