Mumbai, Jan 8 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex remained under pressure for the third straight session on Wednesday, tumbling down 493 pts to 77,705.47 in the opening session as selling was seen across the board.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) slipped 141.20 pts to 23,566.70.
The Sensex registered an intraday high at 78,319.45 and a low at 77,631.33 pts.
The Nifty registered a day's high and low at 23,751.85 pts and 23,551.45 pts, respectively.
The mid cap fell 1.28 pc and the small cap by 1.06 pc.
In 30 scrips, 8 advanced, 21 declined, while one remained unchanged.
The losers were Zomato by 3.01 pc to Rs 244.90, Adani Ports by 2.22 pc to Rs 1148.75, Infosys by 2.03 pc to Rs 1893.35, Titan by 1.98 pc to Rs 3438.90, and Tech Mahindra by 1.61 pc to Rs 1643.
The gainers were Reliance Industries by 1.90 pc to Rs 1264.50, Bajaj Finserv by 0.32 pc to Rs 1690, M& M by 0.24 pc to Rs 3118.25, and Maruti Suzuki by 0.22 pc to Rs 11753.85...////...
