Mumbai, May 27 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday crashed by 1055 pts at 81,121.70 till 1425 hrs on weak global cues. The Nifty too lost 275 pts at 24,726.30. The day opened in red, as the Sensex fell by 138 pts at at 82,038.20. It remained under pressure the whole day because of profit booking amid rising UD treasury yield even mute Q4 result too hit the market. The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 82,410.52 pts and 81,121.70 pts respectively. The Nifty registered days high at 25,062.90 and low at 24,704.10 pts. The Mid cap fell 0.12 pc while Small cap rose by 0.02 pc. In 30 scrips, 1 advanced while 28 declined. The losers were Ultracemco by 2.64 pc to Rs 11382.35, ITC Ltd by 2.57 pc to Rs 431.40, M & M by 1.94 pc to Rs 3020.95, NTPC by 1.79 pc to Rs 337.25 and Tata Motors by 1.71 pc to Rs 716.15.
