Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Sagar Medical College will be renamed ‘Acharya Vidyasagar Medical College’ as a tribute to Jainism. In a significant gesture towards the Jain community, he also revealed that a Jain Welfare Board would be established in the state. Dr. Yadav further pledged that the government would prioritize providing free building facilities to Jain Munis in both urban and rural areas during their Vihar if needed. Dr Yadav was adressing the Kshamavani Mahotsav celebration at his residence. Highlighting the rich history of Jain religion and culture, Dr. Yadav noted that cities like Ujjain have upheld Jain traditions for thousands of years. He also announced the upcoming inauguration of medical colleges in Neemuch, Mandsaur, and Seoni next month. For his commitment to the Jain community, Dr. Yadav was honored with a memento and citation. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Minister Shri Chaitanya Kashyap welcomed him at the event.
