Beijing, Dec 12 (Reporter) China and Russia will continue to strengthen mutual political trust and strategic cooperation, as well as broaden practical partnership across all domains, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Thursday. "China and Russia will continue to stick to the principles of good-neighborly relations and friendship, strategic cooperation and mutually beneficial relations. The two states will also deepen their political trust and strategic coordination and continue to expand their practical cooperation in various fields," Xi said at a meeting with Russia's Security Council Deputy Chair Dmitry Medvedev. Xi said he was confident that Medvedev's trip to Beijing would contribute to strengthening bilateral trust and cooperation. He asked the senior Russian security official to give his greetings to President Vladimir Putin. Putin and Xi have met face-to-face three times in 2024 alone. Xi said they reached a number of agreements during this year's summit meetings. Medvedev is in China for a two-day official visit, during which he is expected to meet with senior Chinese officials and take part in a wreath-laying ceremony.
