Rupee slides by 53 paise against USD

Mumbai, June 13 UNI) The rupee on Friday fell by 53 paise at 86.13, a two-month low in opening session after Israel hit several sites in Iran, raising fears of a full-blown war with Tehran threatening “bitter” retaliation, traders said. The currency opened 55 paise down at 86.15 against the dollar. It closed the previous session at 85.60.
