Mumbai, Jun 20 (Reporter) The Rupee on Thursday closed at a record low at 83.62, sliding 21 paise against USD on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said. The local unit declined because of the strong Dollar against other world currencies along with a robust equity market. The domestic unit that slipped 24 paise in the opening session, closed at 83.62, sliding 21 paise as compared to the previous close.
