Chandigarh, Dec 20 (Reporter) Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday granted bail to former Minister and Congress leader Bharat Bhushan Ashu in the alleged Money Laundering Scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Ashu on August 1 in connection with the case. He has been lodged in jail since then. His advocate Nikhil Ghai said that the Punjab Vigilance Bureau has quashed the FIR filed against Ashu also. Ashu's wife Mamta, who is contesting the Municipal Elections from ward no. 60 in Ludhiana, had already said that if her husband was innocent, he would be freed by the court.
