Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that over 45 per cent of all startups in Madhya Pradesh are led by women. Women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are forging a new identity under initiatives like "Drone Didis." The 35 per cent reservation for women in government jobs has given wings to their success. Additional concessions are being provided in the registration of land, shops, and houses in the names of women, empowering them with ownership of assets. This not only enhances their status but also gives them a more significant voice in family decisions. These developments signal a stronger and more empowered society, as true societal empowerment cannot be achieved without empowering women.
"If we envision our state advancing on the path of progress, it is imperative to provide our daughters and sisters with education, skill development, and ample employment opportunities," said Chief Minister Dr. Yadav while virtually addressing the women-centric employment fair organised by Satyaj Foundation at Kalidas Academy, Ujjain.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised that every possible effort is being made to ensure access to education and employment for women. A provision of ₹100 crore has been made for the construction of hostels for working women. A total budget of ₹27,147 crore has been earmarked for women and child development, with the gender budget doubling in size over the past six years. Several incentives have been introduced to increase women's participation in trade and business.
"It is a matter of pride for all of us that women are responsibly handling their employment and entrepreneurial activities while also managing their families. The state government stands by our daughters and sisters at every stage of their lives," he added.
The employment fair held in Ujjain witnessed participation from several companies. Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment and Ujjain District In-Charge, Shri Gautam Tetwal, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Smt. Kalavati Yadav and former Union Minister Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya were present at the event. More than 25 companies participated in the fair.
