Proposed policy related to forests will be implemented only after consideration: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was called on by High Power PESA and Forest Rights Task Force today. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was apprised by the chairman of the committee regarding the confusion prevailing on the proposal of the policy for the improvement of forests with private investment. CM Dr. Yadav said that instructions have been given to immediately remove the proposed policy to improve forests with private investment from the portal of the Forest Depa rtment. Along with this, CM Dr. Yadav instructed the officials of the Forest Department to propose a new policy by brainstorming on all aspects of the new policy with the cooperation of forest dwellers and tribal community, in collaboration with all stakeholders to improve forests, while protecting the interests of the tribals in the light of PESA law and Forest Rights law.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held detailed discussions with all the members and appealed to the people of the tribal society not to get confused. CM Dr. Yadav said that protecting the rights of the tribes on water, forest, land and culture is the top priority of the state government.

The meeting was attended by Shri Girish Kuber, National CAMPA member and Task Force special invitee member, Shri Subhash Barole co-region organization secretary Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad Bhopal, Shri Kalu Singh Mujalda Tribal Advisory Council member, Dr. Roop Narayan Mandve Tribal Advisory Council member and Chief Minister's tribal affairs advisor Shri Laxman Singh Markam, Additional Secretary and Task Force members.
