Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while addressing the Kisan Maha Sammelan at the three-day cultural ‘Rahas’ fair in Gadhakota, Sagar, emphasized that Bundelkhand is the land of heroes, and the sacrifices of these heroes can never be forgotten. Giving a major gift to farmers, he announced that the government would now procure wheat from farmers at a minimum support price of Rs 2,600 per quintal. He also assured that the Sagar-Damoh road will be upgraded to a four-lane highway. During the event, Dr. Yadav distributed the benefits of various government schemes to five beneficiaries from the stage.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is committed to honouring both the jawans protecting the borders and the farmers cultivating the fields. He emphasized that the central and state governments are continuously working to double farmers’ incomes. He assured that in the coming years, lakhs of hectares of land in Bundelkhand will be irrigated. He also urged farmers to safeguard their land, assuring them that they would receive full benefits from it, leading to agricultural prosperity.
