Shimla, May 27(Reporter) Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has embarked on a vigorous four-day campaign trail across Himachal Pradesh, aiming to rally support for the party’s Lok Sabha and Assembly by-election candidates. Gandhi who arrived in Shimla on Sunday evening is scheduled to address public meetings in Chamba and Dharamshala under the Kangra Lok Sabha constituency on Monday. After her address in Chamba, Gandhi is scheduled to return to Kangra to hold another rally in Dharamshala, where she will campaign alongside Devendra Jaggi, the party's candidate for the Dharamshala Assembly seat. Priyanka Gandhi's election assignment reflects a strategic push by the Congress to consolidate votes before the campaign ends at 5 pm on May 30. Her presence in the state is seen as a critical effort to invigorate the party's base and sway undecided voters. Over the next four days, she would conduct a total of nine public meetings and roadshows, covering various districts and constituencies. Following her engagements in Kangra, Gandhi would return to Shimla, where she would stay at her residence in Chharabra. On May 28, she is scheduled to visit the Una district and is scheduled to address public meetings in the Gagret and Kutlahar Assembly constituency areas. Later, she will participate in a roadshow supporting Subhash Dhatwalia, the Congress candidate for the Badsar Assembly in Hamirpur district. On May 29, her campaign will address a public meeting in Kullu, followed by a roadshow in Mandi in the afternoon. On the next day, she is expected to hold public meetings in Solan and Nerva under the Shimla Lok Sabha constituency, although these events are still tentative. Gandhi’s campaign comes after several high-profile election meetings addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress star campaigner Rahul Gandhi, and Home Minister Amit Shah.
