Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Bhopal on May 31 to attend the Women Empowerment and Self-Reliance Maha-Sammelan. The special event is being organised on the occasion of the tercentenary birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. The Chief Minister directed officials to finalize all necessary preparations to ensure the event is held in a dignified and grand manner.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the preparations for the Prime Minister's visit during a meeting held at Samatva Bhavan, Chief Minister's Residence. Notably, the Chief Minister had already visited Jamboree Ground in Bhopal, the venue of the Maha-Sammelan, on May 21 to take stock of the arrangements.
According to the presentation made during the meeting, as per the proposed schedule, Prime Minister Modi will also release a special commemorative postage stamp and coin dedicated to Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai. Additionally, he will inaugurate the Indore Metro Rail Project and perform foundation stone laying and inaugurations at various ghats of the Kshipra River in Ujjain. A short documentary film will also be screened during the event.
