Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that a ‘Madhya Pradesh Police Recruitment Board’ will be set up to ensure quick, transparent and efficient police recruitments. Currently, police recruitment is being conducted through the Staff Selection Board, which takes time. The new board will expedite recruitment, ensure transparency, and enhance efficiency.
In 2025, recruitments will be conducted by the Staff Selection Board, Bhopal, on behalf of the new Police Recruitment Board. From next year, the new board will handle all recruitments directly. The CM stated that 7,500 vacancies have been approved this year, with a total of 22,500 positions to be filled over the next three years by recruiting 7,500 personnel annually.
He also announced that widows and children of martyrs from the Police, Jail, and Civic Security departments will be given a reservation in an additional seat in all undergraduate courses under various priority categories. Additionally, Deputy Superintendents of Police and above, along with security personnel deployed on VVIP duty, will receive special and risk allowances under the Sixth Pay Commission.
CM Dr. Yadav assured that all pending issues related to modernisation and recruitment in the Home Department will soon be resolved in a joint meeting of the Home and Finance Departments.
Speaking at the state-level Independence Day medal distribution ceremony at the CM’s official residence, CM Dr. Yadav met and felicitated all medal-winning officers, employees, and their families. He praised their discipline, obedience, and dedication as the hallmarks of uniformed services, stating that their exceptional service not only honors their department but also brings pride to Madhya Pradesh.
