The 79th Independence Day was celebrated across the country with patriotic fervour, enthusiasm, and joy. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav hoisted the national flag at the state-level ceremony held at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal, inspected the parade, and took the salute. In the parade, the armed forces performed celebratory firing in three rounds, while the police band filled the atmosphere with the spirit of love, pride, service, and dedication to the nation through the tunes of the National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and patriotic songs. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Independence Day and delivered a message to the people. For the first time, the Chief Minister’s message was telecast live across the state and broadcast during Independence Day celebrations at all district headquarters. The event was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, freedom fighters, public representatives, social workers, school students and a large number of citizens.
