Gangtok, May 29 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Gangtok was cancelled owing to worsening weather conditions for flying helicopters, official sources said on Thursday. He was to arrive around 11 am. PM Modi was scheduled to arrive at the Libing Helipad at Tadong around 9:45 am to reach Gangtok for the 50th statehood celebration. However, due to the weather conditions, he will only be attending the statehood celebration virtually, sources said. In Gangtok, at Paljor Stadium, thousands of f people had gathered to attend the statehood celebration. He will address the gathering virtually from Bagdogra airport, sources added.
