Port of Spain/New Delhi, July 4 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his visit to Trinidad and Tobago were memorable and that both nations have added new momentum to their friendship, as he left for Argentina, on the third leg of his five-nation visit.
In a post on X, the PM said: “Thank you Trinidad & Tobago. The moments here will never be forgotten. We’ve added new momentum to India-Trinidad & Tobago friendship."
He thanked President Christine Carla Kangaloo, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and the Government and people of T&T for their warmth.
Earlier, PM Modi and T&T PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar planted a neem sapling as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ initiative.
The PM thanked PM Persad-Bissessar for participating in the initiative:
“Gratitude to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar for taking part in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (a tree for Mother) movement. India and Trinidad & Tobago understand the adverse effects of climate change and will do everything possible to make our planet greener and better.”
