PM condoles death of social worker and former IPS Kunal

Patna, Jan 4 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his deep shock over the death of veteran social worker and former IPS officer Kishor Kunal saying his demise is a great loss to society. PM in his letter to Anita Kunal, wife of Kishore Kunal, said his death had caused a great loss to society. He recalled that Kunal was an IPS officer of the Gujarat cadre and during his career as a police officer, he had worked hard to ensure justice for the deprived and underprivileged. Modi, in his letter, released in media on Saturday, said that the contribution of Kunal for social harmony and affinity among various sections was immense and would always be remembered. Kunal had special interests in spiritualism and his works had brought positive changes in the life of the people, he noted. PM prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul. He also prayed to the almighty to give strength to the bereaved family members to bear the tragedy. Kunal a former IPS officer and veteran social worker who was also the Secretary of Mahavir Mandir Trust near Patna junction, died on Sunday last. He had written several books on religion which were accepted as evidence by the Supreme Court in deciding the case of Ram Janam Bhumi at Ayodhya.
