Passengers’ convenience must be prioritized in bus services: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that passengers' convenience should be given top priority while operating the new passenger bus service in the state. Buses should be operated considering the needs of passengers in rural areas and the importance of intercity routes. Special care should be taken to ensure that all the benefits of technology platforms like ticket booking and bus tracking are easily available to the passengers. He said that a deadline should be set to ensure all necessary arrangements and that the operation of the new passenger bus service in the state will be ensured soon. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that action should be taken against those bus operators who are not following the terms and conditions mentioned in the permit. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was directing the officials in the meeting held at Samatva Bhawan regarding starting a new passenger bus service in the state and its organizational structure, responsibilities and operation. Information about the system operating in other states was also given in the meeting. Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain and other officers were present in the meeting.
