Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that Panigrahan Sanskar (the sacred wedding ritual) is the most significant among the 16 sacraments of life. At a mass wedding event in Alirajpur, he blessed 1,369 newlywed couples, under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, where ₹7.52 crore was distributed as Kanyadan.
Addressing the grooms, CM Yadav said, "We are entrusting you with the pride of our homes—our daughters. Taking care of them is now your responsibility." He instructed the Alirajpur Collector to submit proposals for a 220 kV grid, Kakrana Ghat, and a girls' sports complex, ensuring their prompt approval. The Chief Minister also welcomed the newlyweds' families with a shower of flower petals.
Alirajpur’s Natural Beauty and Irrigation Development
Praising Alirajpur's natural beauty, CM Yadav highlighted the impact of Narmada dam projects in expanding irrigated land and improving economic prosperity. He recalled that in December 2024, the ₹2,000 crore Sondwa Lift Irrigation Project was sanctioned, benefiting 169 villages. He remarked, "When thirsty fields get water, farming will flourish like gold."
Economic Growth Initiatives
Dr. Yadav reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting farmers with wheat procurement at ₹2,600 per quintal, a ₹175 per quintal bonus for wheat farmers, a ₹5 per liter bonus on milk procurement, and a goal to increase Madhya Pradesh’s milk production from 9 to 20 per cent.
