Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav described attending the mass wedding of nearly 2,000 couples in Jhabua as an incredible and unforgettable experience. He wished a happy and prosperous marr ied life, blessing the newlyweds. He emphasized that among the 16 sacraments of human life, the "Panigrahan Sanskar" (wedding ritual) is the most significant for entering household life. The seven vows taken during the wedding ceremony symbolize a lifelong commitment. CM Yadav expressed his hope for happiness in their lives, congratulating the couples participating in the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah/Nikah Sammelan.
The Chief Minister symbolically presented checks worth ₹49,000 each to 11 couples during the ceremony. He declared the construction of barrages in Bhandakheda, Nagankhedi, Galti, Chhayan, Jhalarwa, Budashala, and Kallipura to address the drinking water and irrigation needs of the Ranapur region in a major announcement for the people of Jhabua. Additionally, CM Dr. Yadav announced that a medical college affiliated with Devi Ahilya University would be established in Jhabua to further boost the region's development.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that the state’s development is inclusive, ensuring that no section of society is left behind. He reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas," highlighting that collective efforts and mutual trust will drive progress. CM Dr. Yadav mentioned that farmers are being empowered through schemes such as the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, wheat procurement at ₹2,600 per quintal, and a ₹4,000 per hectare incentive for paddy farmers. Additionally, talented students are receiving free scooters and laptops, while women under the Ladli Behna Yojana are getting financial assistance every month. The state government has also reserved 35% of government jobs for women to promote their empowerment.
