Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that our brave soldiers are true sentinels of the nation’s honour, pride, and dignity. All three of our armed forces are always ready to defend borders of the country with discipline. The Kargil war of the year 1999 was the most challenging war so far. The enemy had deceitfully infiltrated into the country’s territory and attacked while hiding at elevated locations. But in this challenging war that lasted more than 60 days, our army made possible even what seemed impossible through their effort and valour. During the Kargil war, we were hearing new tales of bravery every day. Under the leadership of Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the brave soldiers faced every tough challenge and drove out the enemy.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the programme organised at Sainik School Rewa on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas on Saturday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered a floral wreath at the Shaheed Smarak, saluting the sacrifice of brave soldiers who gave their lives for defence of the nation. He also offered floral tribute at the portrait of martyrs of the Kargil war. On this occasion, he honoured Mrs. Vidya Devi, wife of martyr Gunner Chhote Lal Singh, and Mrs. Shyamkali Devi, wife of Nayak Kalu Prasad, with shawl and coconut.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our country has become strong. This is golden era of the nation. Today, our army, like that of America and Israel, is capable of eliminating enemies even beyond our borders. Through surgical strikes, the return of Wing Commander Abhinandan, and Operation Sindoor, the nation has shown that if terrorism does not stop, then we will strike them inside their homes. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the valour and courage of the army has made every citizen proud. Discussing the contribution of the Sainik School, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is a matter of pride for us that today, both the chiefs of the army and the navy are sons of Vindhya, and their foundation was laid in the Sainik School. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that those who sacrifice their lives for the nation are very virtuous. To dedicate oneself with full sincerity to the country is the true tribute to these brave martyrs.
