New Delhi, May 21 (Reporter) One passenger died and many got injured onboard a Singapore Airlines flight from London which hit severe turbulence en route Singapore from London (Heathrow). The flight (SQ321), which took off from London on May 20, 2024, was diverted to Bangkok and landed at 15:45 hrs local time on May 21, 2024. "We can confirm that there are injuries and one fatality on board the Boeing 777-300ER. Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased," the Singapore flag carrier said in a post on micro-blogging site X. As per the airline, there were a total of 211 passengers and 18 crew on board the flight.Singapore Airlines said that its priority is to provide all possible assistance to all passengers and crew onboard the aircraft. "We are working with the local authorities in Thailand to provide the necessary medical assistance, and sending a team to Bangkok to provide any additional assistance needed," the airline said.
