Nitish pays tributes to J P to mark Sampoorna Kranti Diwas

Patna, June 5 (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday paid floral tributes to veteran freedom fighter and great revolutionary Jaiprakash Narayan to mark Sampoorna Kranti Diwas, the day he had made a clarion call for change in the system in all spheres. Kumar, also a staunch follower of J P, paid floral tributes to him on his statue installed near Gandhi Maidan in Patna. He recalled the contribution of J P during the freedom struggle and also in the mid-seventies, as he had made the clarion call for total revolution in a massive public meeting addressed by him at historic Gandhi Maidan on June 5, 1974. He also interacted with some of those present on the occasion, who had participated in the JP movement. JP had immensely contributed to leading the agitation to protest against the emergency and dictatorship of the then Congress government at the Centre. Bihar Chief Minister Kumar and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad are among other leaders who had actively participated in an agitation, called the JP movement in mid mid-seventies. Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Assembly Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion...////...
