Never Forget Your Parents, Society, and Nation Even at the Peak of Prosperity: Governor Shri Patel

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that the true purpose of education is not merely to impart knowledge but also to pave the way for the upliftment of underprivileged communities. Addressing the degree recipients, he said that studying at the university founded by Nanaji Deshmukh is a matter of great fortune. Drawing inspiration from Nanaji’s intellectual ideals, students should shape their lives purposefully and move towards happiness and prosperity. The Governor and Chancellor Shri Patel also recalled Nanaji’s life and contributions during the convocation ceremony.

Governor Shri Patel was addressing the 13th Convocation Ceremony of Chitrakoot Gramoday University. During the event, 37 students received Ph.D. degrees, 35 students were awarded medals for outstanding performance and one student received the Nanaji Medal. Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar also visited various exhibitions organised by the university’s students, including the ‘Village Life Exhibition’ based on the theme ‘From Village Upliftment to National Upliftment’, the ‘From Village to Sky’ exhibition, and the DRI Agricultural Exhibition. They also viewed an art exhibition by Fine Arts students focused on the life of Nanaji Deshmukh. On this occasion, the Governor inaugurated the first floor of the newly constructed Kisan Bhavan built by the State Agricultural Marketing Board. University students also presented a cultural program based on folk traditions.
