Srinagar, Mar 5 (Reporter) Jammu and National Conference on Tuesday announced that it would fight on all the three Lok Sabha seats from Kashmir which has been finalised after the talks with Congress.
The announcement was made after a meeting of NC Parliamentary Board which was chaired by party president Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah.
“ We will contest all three seats from the valley," NC provincial president, Kashmir, Nasir Aslam Wani told UNI. " Congress will contest on two seats of Jammu and discussion is underway for Ladakh."
The announcement by the NC of contesting all three seats from Kashmir has virtually shut doors for a joint candidate of INDIA alliance.
The NC is one of the three constituents of the INIDA alliance in Jammu and Kashmir that also include the Congress and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Earlier the day, Congress General Secretary in-charge Communications Jairam Ramesh was quoted as having said that the Congress party has finalised its seat sharing with all other parties of the INDIA bloc except in West Bengal and Jammu & Kashmir...////...
