Srinagar, Mar 5 (Reporter) Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday hit out at the regional parties of J&K who are accusing his party of being a BJP ally.
Azad said it was the hypocrisy of those parties who were the former allies of the BJP.
“ These parties should reflect on their past actions before pointing fingers. They were the ones who formed a government with the BJP in the past. Even today, they are pleading with them to ally," Azad said while addressing a public meeting held in Hillar Dooru, Anantnag.
In the past, both the National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party had an alliance with BJP.
Azad criticized other parties for their past failures and empty promises.
"Other parties have misled the people and raised slogans they have since forgotten. How can we trust them anymore?" He urged the gathering to consider his track record, stating, "You have tested them for years and witnessed my two and a half years as Chief Minister. Now, give me a chance to serve you. I will bring a revolution in J&K."
He vowed if voted to power, would bring revolutionary development and tourist boost in Jammu and Kashmir.
“If my government is formed, I will bring forth legislation to safeguard the rights of our people”, DPAP Chairman Azad said during a public meeting held in Hillar Shahabad in the south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Tuesday.
"I have returned to J&K to protect my people from the present crisis”, the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said and added, “our people are distressed, our rights have been unjustly snatched away."
"We have been promised statehood restoration, but we must continue to fight until we achieve it," Azad said.
Reaffirming his commitment to safeguarding the land and jobs of the people of J&K, Azad pledged to enact laws to protect the rights unjustly snatched away from the people and ensure their restoration.
Azad urged the electorate not to succumb to efforts aimed at fragmenting votes or maintaining goodwill with all parties at the expense of justice for their people.
“Dividing votes or pleasing all parties will not serve the interests of our people. It is imperative to stand united and vote with integrity to ensure justice for our community”, he added...////...
