Raipur, June 9 (Reporter) Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Dev Sai expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Akash Rao Giripunj in an IED blast carried out by Naxalites on Monday, in Konta area of Sukma district. The CM vowed that Naxalites will have to face the consequences of this "cowardly act". Sai said, "It is extremely painful, and I pay homage to his sacrifice." Sai added that some other officials and personnel were also injured in the attack and has directed for their proper treatment. The Chief Minister asserted that security forces are engaged in a major battle against Naxalites in Chhattisgarh, and they are achieving continuous success. "Frustrated by the actions of security forces, Naxalites are resorting to such cowardly acts, but they will have to face the consequences," he said.
