Naveen calls upon party workers to be aggressive in exposing false narratives against BJD

Bhubaneswar, Apr 19 (Reporter) Naveen Patnaik, elected as BJD President for the ninth consecutive term on Saturday, called upon party workers to aggressively counter false narratives against the BJD, especially on social media. “Let me be honest in saying that we need to significantly improve our social media presence. Technology should be used to present facts, and without it, we cannot effectively reach the people,” Patnaik told party leaders and workers. Patnaik said, “We narrowly lost the last election even though the BJD received more popular votes. This happened because we couldn’t effectively counter the false narrative.” The BJD supremo and Leader of the Opposition thanked party workers for allowing him to serve once again as the President of party. “I have always kept your love in my heart,” he said, expressing deep respect for the beloved leader Biju Patnaik, and adding, “Biju Babu's ideals have always guided us.” He also welcomed attendees to the State Council Meeting and congratulated the elected District Presidents, State Executive Members, and other elected representatives. Patnaik stated that with the blessings of the people of Odisha, the Biju Janata Dal had the opportunity to serve the state from 2000 to 2024. “This period was a golden era of Odisha's development,” he said, adding that Odisha became a model for other states due to its pioneering role in various fields. “No one should underestimate the organizational strength of the Biju Janata Dal,” Patnaik said, while praising the high spirit and dedication of the hardworking men and women in the party. “They are the real asset of our party. Our policies and ideals are our strength. Whether in government or not, the BJD has always served the people of Odisha and will continue to do so,” he remarked. Patnaik further emphasized that the empowerment of people, particularly women, farmers, youth, workers, and tribals, remains a central focus, along with regional development. He affirmed that the BJD has always stood for and will continue to stand for the interests and pride of Odisha. “Our fight for Odisha’s rights will continue.
