Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released the poster of the Navankur Sakhi Hariyali Yatra at his residence on Wednesday and emphasized the importance of connecting people with nature and raising public awareness about environmental protection. He stated that the Hariyali Yatra will inspire citizens to take environmental responsibility—from their homes and courtyards to their villages and cities. The Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad is organizing the five-day Navankur Sakhi Hariyali Yatra across the state starting July 24. Parishad Vice President Shri Mohan Nagar was present at the poster release event. On this occasion, a short film related to the initiative was also screened.
Chief Minister and President of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Dr. Mohan Yadav, praised the Parishad’s innovative initiative, Navankur Sakhi–Hariyali Yatra, calling it a commendable effort. He emphasized the importance of involving as many citizens as possible in this state-wide campaign. Congratulating the Navankur Sakhis, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed the hope for their continued and active participation in environmental conservation. He highlighted that the primary objective of the campaign is to protect the environment through voluntary public participation, with a special focus on empowering Nari Shakti (women's power).
It is noteworthy that the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad will organize the Navankur Sakhi–Hariyali Yatra across 1,565 sectors in 313 blocks of the state over five days, starting from Hariyali Amavasya on July 24. In each sector, 100 women have been registered as Navankur Sakhis. These women will cultivate plants in their home gardens using specially prepared bags containing 11 pre-seeded and germinated plant varieties. Through this innovative initiative, approximately 5,500 plants will be prepared in each block, significantly contributing to environmental conservation and green cover expansion across Madhya Pradesh.
