Mizoram signs agreement with SBI, MRB and MCAB to facilitate loan disbursement

Aizawl, Dec 18 (Reporter) The Mizoram Government on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with State Bank of India (SBI), Mizoram Rural Bank (MRB), and Mizoram Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd. (MCAB) to facilitate loan disbursement under the Bana Kaih Scheme. Chief Minister Lalduhoma presided over the ceremony, held at the Chief Minister's Conference Hall, and also launched the Chief Minister's Bana Kaih Innovation Challenge. The Bana Kaih Scheme, a flagship initiative, aims to promote self-reliance and align with India’s development goals. Under its “Handholding to Progress Partners” component, beneficiaries receive government-backed loans with interest subvention of up to 100 percent for timely repayment. The MoA was signed by government and bank representatives. The Chief Minister’s Bana Kaih Innovation Challenge includes four categories: Department Innovation Challenge for government initiatives. District Innovation Challenge for local councils, NGOs, and groups.Higher Educational Institutes' Challenge for student-driven solutions and Inventor's Challenge for groundbreaking ideas.
