Man arrested for threatening UP CM Yogi

Deoria (UP), Jan 5 (Reporter) A person was arrested by Deoria police from Mumbai with the assistance of Maharashtra police for issuing a threat to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media, a police spokesman said here on Friday. The spokesman said that a person made remarks against CM Yogi on his social media in connection with the murder of six people in Fatehpur village under the Rudrapur police station on October 2 last year. "A case was lodged under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the IT Act," he said. He said that during the investigation, the accused was identified as Ajit Kumar Yadav, a resident of Kalyan in Thane district in Mumbai. "The accused was arrested by the Rudrapur police from Mumbai with the help of the Maharashtra police, and further legal action is being taken," he said.
