Satara, Sep 10 (Reporter) Altogether 21 passengers onboard a 'Shivshahi' bus of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) escaped unhurt when it suddenly burst into flames on Pune-Bangalore national highway at Vadhephata in the district on Tuesday.
A Shivshahi bus with 21 passengers onboard was travelling to Sangli from Swarget of Pune on Pune-Bangalore national highway in the afternoon at around 1345 hours, when it suddenly bus burst into flames at Vadhephata near Satara, police said.
Upon noticing the fire, the driver of bus stopped the vehicle at the roadside and with help of the conductor, removed all passengers onboard to safety and averted a big tragedy.
After being informed about incident, a police team and ST officers of Satara division rushed to the spot and arranged for another bus to send all passengers to Sangli.
The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained, police said...////...
