Nashik, Mar 3 (Reporter) A pedestrian was killed on the spot after being hit by a truck on the Manmad-Pune highway near the crematorium in Manmad city of the district on Monday. According to police, a poor worker was walking on foot when he was hit by a goods truck from behind. Other pedestrians present at the scene immediately contacted the sub-district hospital and sent the body immediately to the hospital. After the accident, the driver of truck tried to flee from the scene, however, the police at Manmad Chauphuli promptly chased him, stopped the truck and arrested the driver.
