Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Sep 9 (Reporter) The officials of Jayakwadi Dam in Maharashtra have decided to release 3,144 cusecs of water into the Godavari basin due to the dam reservoir level exceeding 97 per cent of its capacity, an official said on Monday.
The Command Area Development Authority said the discharge would begin from Monday.
The authority said the citizens of the riverside villages should not enter the Godavari river basin.
Jayakwadi Dam, a 102 thousand million cubic feet water source in the Marathwada region, supplies water to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, three industrial estates, 250 villages, and 1.85 lakh hector irrigation lands in four districts...////...
