Prayagraj, Oct 6 (Reporter) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday held a review meeting regarding the preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025. During the meeting, the CM launched the logo, website, and mobile App for the event, listening to suggestions from saints and sages while providing directives to officials. He set a clear deadline for all preparations, directing that all work must be completed by December 10. He asserted that the Maha Kumbh would set new standards for cleanliness, security, and convenience. Yogi said, "UP had set up a high standard by successfully organising the Kumbh in 2019, raising the expectations of the public for this event. The fair area, which spanned 3,200 hectares in 2019, will now be expanded to over 4,000 hectares." He reiterated that Maha Kumbh represents a significant opportunity to showcase Sanatan Indian culture to the world. To facilitate this, he announced that more than 7,000 buses would be deployed, along with the installation of over 1,50,000 toilets. He stressed the importance of cleanliness, directing that 10,000 personnel be assigned to enhance sanitation efforts. The CM said that the Ganga and Yamuna will remain uninterrupted and clean during Maha Kumbh, with zero discharge from Bijnor to Ballia. He directed the officials to ensure the steel bridge is completed by the first week of December to facilitate easy access to Prayagraj from Kanpur, Lucknow, Barabanki and Ayodhya. The Mela area will see the establishment of three police lines, three women’s police stations and 10 police posts. The CM directed the officials to create a VVIP corridor from the Airport to the fairgrounds; however, there will be no VIP movements during special bathing festivals. To enhance security, he directed the establishment of these police facilities within the fair area. He emphasized the need for police officers to respect the faith of every devotee and maintain courteous interactions with all individuals, whether they are Kalpvasis, bathers, devotees, or tourists. The safety and convenience of everyone should be prioritised, and police behaviour must be cooperative. In terms of security, Yogi highlighted the importance of effective crowd management, fire services, help desks, parking facilities, and CCTV surveillance. He also announced the installation of an anti-drone system and stressed that security models should incorporate AI tools. The CM urged local officials and the Kumbh Mela administration to continuously seek guidance from Akharas, Acharyas, and saints, ensuring their expectations are fully addressed. He encouraged promoting homestay opportunities in Prayagraj to connect residents with employment and help them generate additional income. Yogi also noted the necessity of setting up new GRP stations for enhanced security. To improve vigilance, he emphasized the need for better coordination between the Railway authorities and UP Police. From a security standpoint, verification of tenants, restaurant workers, and e-rickshaw drivers will also be conducted...////...
