Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that Madhya Pradesh will receive a significant gift on its Foundation Day with the launch of the PM Shri Tourism Heli Service. On November 1, a helicopter will take off from Bhopal to Ujjain, marking the symbolic launch of the service. Regular helicopter operations for tourists and devotees are expected to commence later in the month.
CM Dr. Yadav said that the distinctive feature of this service is that tourists and pilgrims will also be provided with accommodation and local transport facilities through Madhya Pradesh Tourism. Helicopter services will initially operate in three different tourism circuits across the state. Alongside this, the formal agreement process for developing the state’s ninth airport in Ujjain will be completed by November 1.
He informed that the first circuit will cover Bhopal–Ujjain–Indore–Mandu–Omkareshwar and the second circuit will include Pachmarhi (Narmadapuram), Tamia (Chhindwara), and Khajuraho (the UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Chhatarpur. The third circuit will connect Jabalpur, Kanha, Pench and Panna National Park.
All three circuits will become operational for regular helicopter service by November 2025.
