Bengaluru, March 27 (Reporter) Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday refused to change Union Minister Pralhad Joshi's parliamentary constituency as demanded by Veerashaiva Lingayat seers citing alleged ill-treatment of the community and its leaders. The seers, led by Sri Dingaleshwar Swami, have set a deadline for the central leadership of the BJP to address their concerns, threatening further action if their demands are not met by Sunday. Yediyurappa emphasised Joshi's track record of inclusivity and the support he enjoys from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pledged to personally engage with the seers to resolve any misunderstandings and garner their support for Joshi. "Joshi has been doing good work, taking people of all communities along with him. That is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given him various responsibilities and posts," he told reporters here. In response, Joshi refrained from directly addressing the accusations against him, expressing respect and reverence towards Sri Dingaleshwar Swami and the Shirahatti Fakkireshwar Mutt. He also stated his willingness to consider the seer's comments as blessings and expressed his intention to communicate with Sri Dingaleshwar Swami if given the opportunity. "I will take all his comments against me as his blessings. I will also try to speak to the seer if he gives me time," he said...////...
