Hyderabad, Mar 13 (Reporter) BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) condemned the suspension of BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy from the Telangana Legislative Assembly, calling it baseless and cruel.
KTR accused the Congress government of acting on false allegations to silence the opposition.
KTR claimed that the Congress government suspended Jagadish Reddy fearing that discussions on contracts, commissions, and packages sent to Delhi would arise during the budget meetings.
Protesting alongside BRS MLAs and MLCs in front of Ambedkar's statue in assembly premises, KTR announced that protest programs will be held in all constituencies against the suspension tomorrow.
KTR alleged that the suspension was a conspiracy to suppress Jagadish Reddy for exposing inaccuracies in the Governor's speech. Despite interruptions by ministers and Congress MLAs
during his speech, Reddy remained composed, KTR asserted.
He claimed that the government’s suspension move was unethical and aimed at silencing criticism regarding farmers' struggles, crop failures, non-implementation of loan waivers, and unfulfilled guarantees.
KTR defended Jagadish Reddy, stating that no unparliamentary language was used and that Reddy had only voiced his concerns to protect opposition leaders' rights. He accused the Congress government of suspending Reddy under orders from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who was in Delhi at the time.
He criticised the government for ignoring former CM KCR's advice to engage with the Speaker and Minister of Legislative Affairs to understand the mood of the House.
KTR further denounced the Congress government as arrogant and oppressive, alleging they had chained the 125-foot Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar statue installed by the KCR government. He warned that the public would punish the Congress for its actions and called for burning government effigies in all constituency centres across the state tomorrow in protest against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's dictatorial tendencies...////...
