Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, the state government is transferring relief assistance to help farmers free themselves from financial worries. Our government represents farmers, the poor, women and the underprivileged sections of society. Farmers are the backbone of India’s economy, and our administration stands firmly with them, working continuously for their prosperity. He said that while relief funds are being provided, now insurance claims will be distributed shortly, and the government remains committed to ensuring fair prices for agricultural produce. To guarantee better returns to soybean growers, the Bhavantar Scheme has been launched.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, addressing an event at Bilkisganj in Sehore district, transferred ₹118.41 crore to the accounts of 2, 05,977 farmers affected by yellow mosaic, pest infestation, and excessive rainfall. He also inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Poojan for 48 development projects worth ₹69.38 crore, including major construction and infrastructure works.

CM Dr. Yadav said that soldiers at the border and farmers in the fields both serve the nation in their own ways, earning equal respect from the government. He affirmed, “Our government is dedicated to the welfare of farmers, whether it is ensuring irrigation or guaranteeing fair crop prices”. The irrigated area in Madhya Pradesh has grown remarkably from just 7.5 lakh hectares earlier to 53 lakh hectares today. The state is now ensuring fair prices for soybeans and has started procuring Kodo-Kutki millet. By 2028, soybean is expected to fetch over ₹6,000 per quintal, and the government will purchase wheat next year at ₹2,700 per quintal.
