Kangra, Aug 26 (Reporter) A villager has been arrested for murdering an eatery owner and injuring his friend in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra, police said on Monday. Kangra Sub-divisional Police officer SDPO Ankit Sharma told UNI that 24-year-old Rohit, a local resident of village Thanda Pani, has been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of Abhishek Thakur, 24, owner of 'Bittu ka dhaba’, on August 23 night. The motive behind the killing is still being investigated, police said. Abhishek’s body, with a slit throat, was found in the morning while his friend Vijay, 43, injured seriously, was shifted to hospital, Nagrota Police said. When investigators went to Rohit’s house they found that he had attempted to commit suicide by slitting his wrist with a kitchen knife, police said.
