Moscow, Dec 16 (Reporter) Russia's Zapad (West) group of forces has eliminated over 500 Ukrainian military personnel, repelled four counterattacks, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Monday. "The enemy lost over 500 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, including a US-made HMMWV armored vehicle, four vehicles, a 155-mm US M198 howitzer and three 122-mm D-30 howitzers. Two ammunition depots were destroyed," the statement read. Ukraine has lost over 440 soldiers and three armored combat vehicles in clashes with Russia's Tsentr (Center) group of forces, the ministry also said, adding that the Russian troops had repelled nine counterattacks in this direction. Russia’s Yug (South) group of forces has eliminated up to 345 Ukrainian service people, two Maxx Pro armored vehicles and an ammunition warehouse, the statement said.
