Kerala: Body of woman found in water tank under mysterious circumstances at Valanchery

Malappuram, Apr 13 (Reporter) The body of a 35-year-old woman was found in the cement water tank situated on the back side of the unoccupied house at Athippatta near Valanchery, under mysterious circumstances, on Sunday. The house owner was settled abroad, and the house was in locked condition. A security guard has been deputed for onlooking the house. The deceased was identified as Fathima of Athippatta, who was engaged as a domestic servant in a nearby house. The body was found by a coolie worker, who arrived to clean the tank and feed the turtles, at around 11 am and alerted the Valanchery police. Police rushed to the spot and performed inquest of the body and shifted to Manjeri Medical College hospital for post-mortem. They have started the investigation, including checking the CCTV footage of nearby houses. Reports said that the tank was last cleaned three days ago and Fathima had left her house at around 10 am. Fathima's gold ornaments were not missing from the body. Valanchery Circle inspector Basheer Chirakkal said more details have yet to be ascertained and are awaiting the post-mortem report...////...
