Jammu, June 9 (Reporter) At least nine pilgrims were killed and several injured after terrorists fired on the bus ferrying them and it plunged into a gorge on Sunday evening in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that a group of terrorists attacked a bus carrying yatris coming from Ransoo area. "Due to the sudden attack, the bus driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into the deep gorge near Kanda area of Pouni in Reasi," said the police. They said that nine pilgrims were killed and many injured. "The rescue operation was completed at the earliest and injured have been shifted to the nearby hospitals," the police added. They said that senior officers of police and other forces rushed to the spot. The area has been cordoned off while a search operation was underway. SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma said that the identities of the passengers have not been confirmed yet as they were not locals.
