Jammu, Sep 13 (Reporter) Security forces have recovered ammunition from a hideout busted after terrorists gave a slip during a brief exchange of fire in Surankote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir. A police spokesman said that on a specific information on Thursday evening, a joint search operation was launched by Police, Army and CRPF in the general area of Chamerd in Surankote during the wee hours of today. The area was cordoned off and the target area was searched, the spokesman said, adding that during the search, the security forces were fired upon by the hiding terrorists. However, he said that the fire was retaliated by security forces. However, taking advantage of the thick forest cover, the terrorists managed to slip away. Additional forces have been pushed in and the whole area is cordoned off, the spokesman said and added that during the search, security forces busted a hideout and recovered ammunition, eatables and some incriminating material.
