J&K: Police seize heroin worth crore from 2 Delhi residents

Srinagar, Nov 13 (Reporter) Jammu and Kashmir Police have seized narcotics worth crores and arrested two Delhi residents in Srinagar, officials said. Police on Wednesday said that on November 12, during checking at the Tengpora flood channel in Batamaloo, Srinagar Police detained two individuals identified as Love Kumar from Shahdara Kastura Nagar, Delhi, and Vipin Kumar from Sultanpuri, Delhi. "Upon their search, 2.4 kg of heroin-like substance worth crores was recovered from their possession," police said. Consequently, FIR No. 140/2024 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Batmaloo, and an investigation initiated. They said "during the course of investigation, the accused persons disclosed information that led to further recovery of 2.86 kg of Crystal Meth (Amphetamine) from their vehicle."
