Srinagar, Oct 1 (Reporter) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday congratulated the people for a record turnout in the final phase of Legislative Assembly Elections.
“Congratulations to the people for a record turnout in the final phase of Assembly Elections," Lt Governor posted on X.
The final phase of polling for the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election on Tuesday witnessed a record 65.58 percent voter turnout in the 40 constituencies spread across seven districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
“I applaud the tireless efforts of election officials, district administrators, JKP, and our security forces for successfully conducting multi-phased polls and strengthening the pillars of democracy," Lt. Governor said.
The Lt. Governor said the enthusiasm among voters in all three phases to exercise their franchise is a testimony to vibrant democracy in J&K and people's faith in democratic values.
He said transparent, free, and fair assembly polls in 2024 will be written in golden letters in the history of J&K elections...////...
