Srinagar, Jan 5 (Reporter) In a tragic incident, five members of a family died of asphyxiation in the Pandrethan area of Srinagar late Sunday evening,an officials said. Police said that the deceased, including the parents and their three children, tragically lost their lives due to suffocation in their rented room in Pandrethan. They added that the family, originally from Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, was living in rented accommodation and were found unconscious. They were shifted to a nearby health facility where doctors declared them brought dead. However, it was not yet confirmed whether they were using any coal heater or heater in their room for warmth amid bone chilling cold and snowfall in Srinagar which led to their death due to asphyxiation.
